A Typical Day at Vidyan
Children arrive, reflect, and write down their plan for the day.
Time stretches enough for deep concentration and careful thinking.

They step outdoors — observing, caring, and growing with the world around them.
Some days include nature walks. Some days, time on the farm.

Beyond the Classroom
At least one hour daily is dedicated to learning beyond the core classroom
Sports
Through regular play, children develop strength, coordination, and teamwork. They enjoy football on our lake-facing turf as well as a range of indoor sports. Sports nurture resilience, discipline, and lifelong habits of physical well-being.
Gymnastics
Gymnastics supports physical confidence, balance, and flexibility. Children learn controlled movement and develop strong body awareness. As skills progress, confidence and self-belief grow naturally.
Music
Music helps children develop listening skills, rhythm, and emotional expression. They explore singing, instruments, and patterns in sound. Music supports focus, creativity, and a deep sense of joy in learning.
Astronomy
Children explore the wonders of the night sky and learn about stars, planets, and celestial patterns. Through observation and storytelling, they develop a sense of wonder about the universe. Astronomy nurtures curiosity and expands their understanding of the world beyond.
Cooking
Cooking builds independence through meaningful, hands-on experiences. Children prepare simple foods while learning about ingredients and nutrition. They develop responsibility, sequencing skills, and care for themselves and others.
Art
Art provides children with space to imagine, explore, and create. They work with colours, forms, and materials in open-ended ways. Emphasis is placed on expression, exploration, and the creative process.
Field Trips
Learning extends beyond the classroom through visits to local farms, museums, and natural spaces. Field trips connect classroom concepts to real-world experiences. Children gain new perspectives and create lasting memories through shared exploration.
Farming
Children actively participate in growing and caring for plants. They learn where food comes from and how living systems work together. Farming fosters patience, responsibility, and a strong connection to the earth.
Nature Walks
Regular walks around our campus lake connect children with the natural world. They observe birds, plants, and seasonal changes up close. These experiences nurture curiosity, mindfulness, and respect for nature.
Book Club
Children gather to share stories, discuss ideas, and discover the joy of reading together. Book clubs build vocabulary, listening skills, and empathy through shared narratives. They foster a lifelong love of literature and thoughtful conversation.
